51 levels of premium office space, and a newly redeveloped lobby are a shining example of a 21st century workplace, where work-life balance has been redefined. The building challenges the norm by offering more than just a place of work, the community and warm culture that resides within Melbourne Central Tower leaves a lasting impression to those who walk through the doors.
These suites were designed on the concept of movement throughout Australia with references to Melbourne, Victoria and the unique landscape of Australia.
When designing the suites on Level 39, we took inspiration from the new 25 meter digital art screen that wraps the lift core in the Ground Floor Foyer by creating a series of NFT art pieces, displayed on a unique structure that form a focal point in each of the three suites. Observing art is said to stimulate the creation of new neural pathways and ways of thinking, which is central to a good and productive office. Creating people friendly places and spaces that have a positive emotional impact is important to GPT and continues to form part of our ongoing vision. We are proud to have collaborated on this creative project with Mond Qu of United Make and architects, Mitchell Jones and Maddison Stevenson of Made For.

Made For are a small progressive architecture and design studio based in Collingwood. The team is led by the belief that great design is driven by a deep understanding of people. This human centric approach informs everything the firm designs, from small homes to large commercial buildings. In this instance, Made For have taken best practice design methodologies to produce highly functional workplaces that meet the dynamic requirements of a small business.
United Make is a multi-disciplinary studio that explores design through the act of making. Located in Melbourne, Australia, UDMK fabricates and designs unforgettable experiences by focusing on translating the intangible to the material. For this unique collaboration, United Make explores the world of neo-landscapes and questions our complex yet familiar relationship with nature.
Drawing on the uncultivated Australian environment, the Acacia suite has been developed around an expansive biophilic digital piece which focuses in on the Eucalypt trees and the native Australian rainforests.
The colour palette reflects the rich and vibrant emerald, sage & peach tones found within the environment. Using a range of textures to create an immersive combination of soft woven pieces contrasting strong stone and timbers.

Drawing on the native Australian landscape, the Arafura suite takes inspiration from neighbouring seas and the distinctive marine life that inhabit it. The tri-sided digital art piece references the most nutrient rich body of water in Australia, Arafura. This rich ecosystem is integral to the beauty within the sea, much like the art piece is integral to the design of this suite.
The colour palette borrows the rich hues of the blue from this ocean, providing a calming environment for your employees to work in.

The raw Australian outback was the inspiration for this suite. Tanami, located in the Australian desert was struck by a meteor leaving behind its circular footprint on the otherwise untouched landscape. The digital art piece is encapsulated in a frame resembling the desert, providing textural reference to the digital piece. The suites’ design focuses heavily on the texture of the land and the dry warmth of its landscape, laid out to provide a tracked perimeter resembling Tanami, the suite provides engaging environment for employees and clients to enjoy.
The colour palette for this suite of desert sand and burnt umber are in keeping with colours found at Tanami over laid with harsh stone textures and offset with soft leather upholstery.

Melbourne wraps around the bay bringing a fresh, calm coastal experience to the hustle & bustle of metropolitan Melbourne.
The palette was chosen as a respite from the city – a move towards our calming, coastal spaces. The tones within this palette speak of lightness & brightness, softened by the blues and sandy tones found along our coast line and peninsulas.
To really soften the experience of this suite, the ceilings have been sprayed out in a light, sandy tone. Exposed concrete finishes become glossier and more waterlike as we ascend the building too. A mix of blue, sea-like tones ebb and flow through the upholstery and wall panelling.
The finishes pull together the tones of our coastline and provides an overall feeling of calm & respite.

New, exciting retail operators are found within Melbourne Central Tower, including a premium lobby café on-site for the ultimate convenience.
Refresh End of Trip Facilities at Melbourne Central Tower is located on the Lower Ground Floor and has been designed with luxury in mind, providing indulgently spacious surrounds in which to refresh after the morning cycle to work or a lunchtime city jog. ‘Refresh’ includes: male and female change rooms, 29 showers & 580 large lockers, a complimentary fresh towel service, ironing stations and drying cupboards.
Space&Co. is GPT’s flexible workspace solution, it emerged in response to a professional workforce in search of greater flexibility. Located on level 12, the coworking space is ideal for adhoc board meetings, accommodating short term project teams, or longer term office requirements on flexible terms.
Level 1 is the successful collaboration of the larger GPT Group & Space&Co. offering multiple flexible zones for social connection.
